Celanese Names Lori Johnston Senior Vice President, Human Resources

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Celanese Corporation (NYSE: CE), a global technology and specialty
materials company, today announced that Lori Johnston has joined the
company as senior vice president, Human Resources. A member of the
chairman and chief executive officer’s leadership team, Johnston will
help deepen Celanese’s customer-focused culture. She will lead the
company in strengthening its global workforce and maximizing the
potential of its diverse employee population.

Johnston joins Celanese from Amgen, a $16 billion global biotechnology
company, where she was vice president, International Human Resources
with a focus on emerging markets including Asia, Latin America and the
Middle East. Prior to that she led the global talent function where she
was responsible for senior talent attraction and development, leader and
employee development and diversity initiatives.
She spent more than a decade with Dell Inc, also in a global capacity,
including Human Resources for the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation. In
this role she supported the organization’s urban poverty initiatives
around the globe.
Johnston holds a master of arts in Human Sciences from Our Lady of the
Lake University, San Antonio, Texas, and a bachelor of arts in
Psychology from the University of Central Oklahoma, Edmond, Oklahoma.
