On July 1, 2010, Celanese Corporation (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that the Company had declared a cash dividend of $0.05 per share on its Series A common stock.  The cash dividend is for the period beginning on May 1, 2010 and ending on and including July 31, 2010 and is payable on August 2, 2010 to holders of record as of July 15, 2010.  A copy of the press release is attached to this Current Report as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein solely for purposes of this Item 8.01.

Celanese Corporation Declares Common Share Dividend
 
DALLAS, July 1, 2010 – Celanese Corporation (NYSE: CE), a global technology and specialty materials company, today declared a quarterly dividend of $0.05 per share on its common stock, payable on August 2, 2010.
 
The dividend is payable for the period beginning May 1, 2010 and ending on and including July 31, 2010 to owners of record as of July 15, 2010.
