On January 6, 2011, Celanese Corporation (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that the Company had declared a cash dividend of $0.05 per share on its Series A common stock. The cash dividend is for the period beginning on November 2, 2010 and ending on and including Jaunuary 31, 2011 and is payable on February 1, 2011 to holders of record as of January 18, 2011. A copy of the press release is attached to this Current Report as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein solely for purposes of this Item 8.01.

Celanese Corporation Declares Common Share Dividend

DALLAS, January 6, 2011 – Celanese Corporation (NYSE:CE), a global technology and specialty materials company, today declared a quarterly dividend of $0.05 per share on its common stock, payable on February 1, 2011.

The dividend is payable for the period beginning November 2, 2010 and ending on and including January 31, 2011 to owners of record as of January 18, 2011.
