Celanese Prevails in Case Filed By Southern Chemical Corporation; Methanol Supply Continues Under Existing Contract

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Celanese Corporation (NYSE: CE), a global technology and specialty materials company, today announced that a jury has ruled in its favor in litigation filed by Southern Chemical Corporation (“Southern”) relating to the terms of a multi-year methanol supply contract for Celanese’s U.S. and Mexico-based operations. The jury determined that the contract should continue until its expiration and found that Celanese did not violate the terms of the contract.
