Celanese exhibits at ChinaCoat with broad product offerings for
coatings and adhesives manufacturers
DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Celanese Corporation (NYSE: CE), a global technology and specialty
materials company and a global leader in vinyl acetate ethylene (VAE)
emulsions, invites attendees of the ChinaCoat 2013 international
exhibition to learn more about the company’s solutions for a broad array
of coatings and adhesives applications.
“While attending ChinaCoat 2013, manufacturers of architectural paints,
automotive paints, waterproofing coatings, industrial adhesives and
vinyl-based emulsions will discover the products and the expertise
Celanese can deliver to their organizations,” said Mark Oberle, Celanese
vice president of Sales, Asia. “Celanese is committed to growth in China
and the Asia region and supports our efforts through our largest
chemical manufacturing complex located in Nanjing, China, and our
commercial and technology center located in Shanghai,” Oberle added.
Under its new brand, Celanese - The chemistry inside innovation,
the company will highlight a wide variety of products including vinyl
acetate ethylene emulsions, acrylic emulsions, EVA polymers, vinyl
acetate monomer (VAM) and solvents for use in coatings and adhesives
applications.
Solutions for Architectural Paints
Celanese will also showcase its EcoVAE® line of vinyl acetate ethylene
emulsions for use in ultra-low odor, low VOC (volatile organic
compounds) decorative paints.
“Celanese has a long history of assisting paint formulators with the
difficult task of lowering VOCs while also reducing the unpleasant odor
of interior paints, making a consumer-friendly product. Formulators
appreciate that VAE emulsions are the best way to achieve their sales
and marketing goals while reaching a high level of technical
performance,” said Anna An, Asia commercial director for the Celanese
emulsion polymers business.
In addition, Celanese will be showing its VAE emulsions for use in
waterproofing coatings, which are also low odor and low VOC.
Solutions for Automotive Paints
Celanese will highlight its Polysolvan® O solvent for use in automotive
paints. Because of its very low volatility, Polysolvan O is used chiefly
as a paint additive in the form of a highly effective flow agent.
Solutions for Industrial Adhesives
Celanese offers a range of emulsions for use in industrial adhesives for
paper packaging and converting as well as for use in woodworking.
Celvolit® VAE emulsions are widely used in the paper packaging adhesive
space due to their low odor and low residual monomer levels, making them
the emulsion of choice for food packaging, tobacco production and
cartons. They also offer ease of formulation and good machinability.
Celanese offers a line of EVA polymers for hot melt adhesives offering a
wide range of melt index and vinyl acetate content. Under the Ateva®
brand name, they are recognized globally for their versatility and
quality.
Celanese sales, marketing and technical specialists will be available
throughout the exhibition to answer any questions regarding EcoVAE
emulsions or the company’s other offerings. Visit Celanese during
exhibition hours at booth 3E41-48.
